Hannah Houstin-Lacey
Treasurer for Farleigh Parish
I was born near New Galloway, in Scotland, into a farming family and moved to London in my late teens. There I worked as a Personal Assistant with Ove Arup and Partners and where I met my husband Paul and, then I worked as a PA for the Chairman of a City firm of Brokers.
Paul and I moved to Ellisfield in April 2004 but very sadly he died in September 2005. I decided to stay in Ellisfield, as I loved the countryside and became involved with a number of activities in this welcoming community.
After working for the Tenant Farmers Association for several years as their Membership Co-ordinator, I decided to go back to College to learn manual book keeping. I attended Basingstoke Tech while working as farm secretary for Douglas Paterson of Rex Paterson (Farms) Ltd. Douglas has four farms (2 in Hampshire and 2 in Pembrokeshire) and I have managed the administrative work for the business since July 2013 over a 3 day week.
I like Churches, the architecture and history and thought my role as Treasurer and bookkeeper which commenced in January 2023 for the 5 local churches, would blend.
My hobbies are gardening, dogs, my current working beardie collie, Stor, and I practice agility. I also enjoy poetry, crafting and cooking.
