What we believe
There is one God who created the world and everything in it and that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe that God sent His Son to be born of a virgin, in human form, to grow into a man, to teach and to demonstrate how God intended humankind to live a life in all its fullness on earth. His death and resurrection was predicted in the Old Testament and took place in order to pay for the sinfulness of all humankind and to enable us have a real relationship with Him, the Holy Spirit and God the Father.
Jesus’ ascension into heaven made a way for the gift of the Holy Spirit for all those who wanted to receive Him.
One day He will return in all His glory and will usher in the fullness of life in the kingdom of Heaven, as we are resurrected to eternal life with Him, and with all those who have received Him as Saviour and Lord.
There will also be a Day of Judgement when all wrongs will be righted, and those who continue to defy the Loving living God will depart to their eternal destiny, separated from God for ever, whilst those who do know Him will be welcomed “well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Lord.”
We believe God loves each of us, and wants us to know Him personally- He loves you, He welcomes you, He has a plan for your life – trust Him.
To invite Jesus into your life just ask Him to come in. A simple prayer of invitation can be found below:
Lord Jesus Christ
I admit that I have sinned and gone my own way.
I need your forgiveness.
I am willing to turn away from all that I know is wrong.
I want to go with you.
I want you to be first in my life.
Thank you for dying on the cross to take away all my sins
Thank you for your gift of forgiveness and new life.
I now take your gift.
I ask you now to come into my life and fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Come in to fill my life.
Come in as my Saviour and Lord.
Come in to be with me forever.
Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.
