I was born in Doncaster, Yorkshire and spent the early years of my life moving from place to place, which included Hong Kong, as the eldest son of an RAF Officer. It was there at St John’s Cathedral, Hong Kong, at the age of 8, that I first came across Christianity as a chorister.

After 11 different schools I learnt to fly – chipmunks then other single engine aircraft and a lovely Piper twin Comanche. I trained and qualified as a Chartered Surveyor. After 20 years or so I then started a commercial landscaping business, where I learnt a lot about myself as well as running a small business.

Christianity has, since I was eight, been a part of my life. However, in my thirties, I came to realise that all that I had learnt about Jesus was real and Christianity was not something that ‘I should do or be’. Jesus and all that is written about Him in the Bible is true and He is the biggest part of my life.

I pray that my time as a churchwarden at Cliddesden will be fruitful and supportive of all those that live there and that I will see many more come to faith in Him.
