MARK ASHBURTON
CHURCHWARDEN, ST JOHN'S, NORTHINGTON
I was brought up at East Stratton and my family moved to Northington in my last year atuniversity in 1979. I worked in financial services with spells abroad in New York and Singapore
before moving to live at Abbotstone in 1993 and have been based in the parish ever since. In 2010 I retired from the city to focus on my family’s agricultural and property interests locally.
I was first elected as Church Warden in 2021 and am a trustee of The Friends of St John’s which supports the upkeep of the church. I am a Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire and am treasurer of a charity (CS Disabled Holidays) providing holidays to disabled people.
